Clinical guidelines - validated by science: The potential of phytomedicines
Clinical guidelines play an increasing role worldwide. The evindence available for many herbal medicinal products should allow their inclusion.
In Germany, already a number of phytomedicines have been included into the guidelines of the German medical guideline organization, AWMF. Still, there is potential for more.
The GPT is since 2014 member of AWMF and engages for an evidence based and adequate representation of herbal medicinel products in the medical guidelines in Germany.
The guideline forum informs on this engagement with the aim to gain further support for an adequate and sustainable representation of herbal medicinal products in the daily medical practice.
This engagement is by now mainly focusssed to Germany, and by now, additional information is available in German langue only.
