The Borad of Trustees, the scientific advisory board of the Society, is consulted by the Board of Directors in all scientific issues, e.g., the planning of scientific congresses. The members of the Scientific Advisory Board are nominated by the members of the Society and are appointed by the Board of Directors. The current acting board was appointed in August 2016.
